MESHUGGAH Commence Songwriting Sessions, Upgrade Recording Studio
September 26, 2003Swedish experimental extreme metal band MESHUGGAH have started writing material for the follow-up to last year's "Nothing", tentatively due in late 2004/early 2005. In addition, the group have been working on their recording studio and "trying to get it ready" for the next album's recording sessions. "We have been trying out a whole bunch of different microphones for the drums, because this time we are planning to record the whole album in the studio, not just guitars and vocals," the band write on their web site.
In other news, MESHUGGAH drummer Tomas Haake and guitarist Fredrik Thordendal are currently in Umea, Sweden recording the "Drumkit From Hell II" sample CD, which is set to be released through Toontrack Music early next year. For more information, visit Toontrack's web site at this location.
